Formerly the Player's Edge Hockey School, the Tiger Hockey School features instruction from college coaches, former pros and college players. Campers will receive specific position instruction for goalies, defensemen and forwards.
Off-ice activites include basketball, swimming and dodgeball in the Gordon Field House and Activities Center as well as daily trips to the ESPN interactive game room.
All players receive a practice jersey and a chance to win prizes in the skills contest at the end of the week.

Collegiate Connection Defenseman Camp - 2008
Wayne Wilson and Brian Hills will be running The Collegiate Connection Defenseman Camp for high school age players during the week of July 14-18. This camp will teach defensemen the intricacies of playing this position in all areas on the ice. Please see the attached brochure for details. Players will be taught how to defend rushes, defend in the zone and about gap control. Skill development in areas such as skating, footwork, puck-handling and shooting will also be covered.
The camp will be limited to approximately 16 players and we are only looking for those who are serious about truly learning how to play the difficult position of defense. We want to make the players have a better understanding of how to play this position and teach them fundamentals that will help make the game easier for them. Defense is a difficult position and we feel that not enough time is spent on teaching this art.

Ice times: 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Age Groups: Open to 14 to 18 year old players
Groups: Players will be grouped according to age and abilities
As college coaches, we sincerely feel that not enough coaching is done at the youth level to teach defensemen the art of playing this position. Over the course of our coaching careers we have had the opportunity to help develop defensemen like Rob Blake (Los Angeles Kings), Ken Klee (Atlanta), Greg DeVries (Nashville), Kevin Dahl (fomer NHL’er) and Kevin Bieksa (Vancouver Canucks). In just two short years at RIT, we have coached three defensemen who have been awarded all-star recognition in the Atlantic Hockey Association. We feel very confident that this one week camp with 15 hours of ice time will help young and aspiring defensemen improve at this position.
