ROCHESTER, NY - Freshman Eric Moss (Irvington, NY/Irvington) of the RIT men's swimming and diving team, was named the Liberty League Men's Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Week on Monday, for the week ending Jan. 28, 2018. It is the first weekly honor of his career.

Moss took home a first place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, winning in a time of 4:53.64 and was second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:49.71 as RIT dropped its final dual meet of the season versus Nazareth Saturday. On Sunday, Moss was a winner in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.56) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.48), as well as part of the 200-yard medley relay squad that won in 1:40.00 to defeat Hamilton.

RIT is off until Feb. 21-24, when they compete at the Liberty League Championships hosted by Ithaca College.
