ROCHESTER, NY - Sophomore pole vaulter Ethan Maguire (Penfield, NY/Penfield) of the RIT men's track and field team was named the Liberty League Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, for the week ending Feb. 5, 2016. Maguire was honored for the first time this season and second time in his RIT career.

Maguire led a strong RIT contingent in the pole vault, winning the event with a top vault of 4.70 meters at RIT's Tiger Invitational Friday evening. He is tied with teammate Austin White (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) for the highest vault in the Liberty League and is tied for 17th nationally this season.

The Tigers are back in action on Saturday, hosting the Liberty League Indoor Track and Field Championship from the Gordon Field House at 11 a.m.
