ROCHESTER, NY –  On October 5, 2016, RIT's 11th annual ROAR (Raise Our Annual Responses) Day, the Tigers will ask fans to join the RITAA on behalf of their team. The ROAR for Athletics Challenge is a competition between RIT teams to increase the membership in the RIT Athletic Association. The dollar amount of each gift is not important; it's the number of donors per team.
 
During the ROAR for Athletics Challenge, donors will be asked to make a gift to their favorite team in support of the RIT Athletic Association. The top three teams will earn a financial bonus for their 2016-17 budget. The overall first place team will receive $3,000, the next highest placing men's team will receive $1,000 and the next highest placing women's team, $1,000.
 
"What better time to show your Tiger Spirit," said RIT Executive Director for Intercollegiate Athletics Lou Spiotti Jr. "There's no doubt that support for our teams and student-athletes is at an all-time high. Let's keep that momentum going and send a strong message to our teams that our loyal supporters are 100% behind us and make this the best Athletics ROAR Day ever!"
