Kendra Bush (Palmyra, NY/Newark) and sophomore
Marissa Dispenza (Batavia, NY/Batavia) of the RIT women's track and field team, swept Liberty League Track and Field weekly honors on Monday, for the week ending Dec. 11, 2016. Bush, the Field Athlete of the Week, earned her sixth career weekly accolade, while Dispenza recorded her first weekly honor.
Bush won both throwing events at the RIT Early Season Invitational on Thursday night from the Gordon Field House. She took the shot put with an ECAC qualifying throw of 11.84 meters and won the weight throw with a toss of 13.19 meters.
Dispenza won the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.70 seconds, and was third in the 400-meter dash (1:01.08) at the Early Season Invite on Thursday. She was also part of the 4 x 400-meter relay team that finished third in a time of 4:23.01.
The Tigers are off until Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, when they host the RIT Invitational from the Gordon Field House. That meet will begin at 10 a.m.
