ROCHESTER, NY — The RIT women's hockey team hosts a pair of games against College Hockey America leader Robert Morris this weekend. Both games will take place at the Gene Polisseni Center, starting at 6:05 p.m. Friday and 2:05 p.m. Saturday. RIT will host its annual Skate with the Tigers event after Saturday's game.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for RIT staff, faculty and alumni, $3 for youth, and as always, admission is free for all RIT students (one ticket per valid ID). Tickets are available at the Gene Polisseni Center and Gordon Field House Box Offices, by calling (585) 475-4121 or by visiting www.rithockey.com

Right after Saturday's game, RIT's Skate With the Tigers event will take place at the Gene Polisseni Center. Fans will be able to receive free autographs and skate with their favorite Tiger players.

The Tigers are coming off a pair of games with No. 6 Colgate, a 6-2 loss at home on Friday and a 4-1 defeat on the road Saturday. Reagan Rust (Southaven, MS/Moon Area) and Kendall Cornine (Kinnelon, NJ/Morristown Beard) scored power-play goals in Friday's loss. On Saturday, Kathryn Kennedy (Hamilton, Ontario) scored RIT's lone goal in the third period, while Jenna de Jonge (Abbotsford, British Columbia/George Elliot) stopped a season-high 38 shots.

Robert Morris (7-1-4, 3-0-1 CHA) enters the weekend unbeaten in its past five games, including a 1-0-1 home series against Syracuse. The Colonials and Orange skated to a 2-2 tie on Friday, and the Colonials came out on top 2-1 Saturday. Brittany Howard leads the team in scoring with 16 points on seven goals and nine assists. Jaycee Gebhard and Amber Rennie are right behind with 15 and 13 points, respectively. In net, Jessica Dodds and Lauren Bailey have played in six games apiece. Dodds is 3-0-3 with a 1.60 goals against average and a .944 save percentage, while Bailey is 4-1-1 with a 2.29 goals against average and a .926 save percentage.

Last season, Robert Morris won three of the four meetings. The Colonials swept both games at the Polisseni Center, 4-0 and 6-3. The two teams ended the regular season against each other at Robert Morris, with the Colonials winning the opener and RIT taking the final, 3-2 in overtime on a goal by Carly Payerl (Kitchener, Ontario/Resurrection Catholic). de Jonge would make 71 saves on 75 shots during the final weekend.

RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 10-9-3, including a 4-3-1 record against the Colonials on home ice.

Video and live stats will be available for both games.

After the weekend series with Robert Morris, RIT goes on the road for five straight games, including four in a row to end November — two at league rival Lindenwood and two more at Rensselaer right after Thanksgiving.

Come out this weekend and support your 2016-17 Tigers.
