ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT softball team in conjunction with the Liberty League and Gift of Life, will hold a Blood Cancer Awareness Drive on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ice Rink Conference Room in Building 3 (Clark Gym) and the Student Alumni Union.

Eligible donors must be between the ages of 18-45 and in general good health, meet the guidelines and be willing to donate to any patient, at any time, worldwide.

We are very excited to be joining with the other Liberty League Softball Teams to partner with the Gift of Life in running a bone marrow donor recruitment drive," said RIT head coach Rebecca Stryker. "It is our goal to increase the database to find more potential matches for those with life threatening illnesses."

Headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, Gift of Life is an international public bone marrow and blood stem cell registry. Through its life-saving work, Gift of Life is a world leader in facilitating transplants for children and adults suffering from many life-threatening diseases, like leukemia and lymphoma.
