ROCHESTER, NY – ALO-Hockey, a Hawaiian style pep-rally to kick off the 2015-16 RIT men's and women's hockey season will take place at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Gene Polisseni Center. It is free and open to the RIT community and general public.
 
Fans are urged to come out to the Gene Polisseni Center, meet the teams and celebrate with free food and giveaways. For more information, visit the facebook event page and Behind the Bricks blog.
 
The men are the defending Atlantic Hockey Champions, having advanced to the NCAA Midwest Regional Final in 2014-15. RIT went 20-15-5 and return 19 players from last season's team, including 10 forwards, all eight defensemen, and one goaltender.
 
RIT's women will look for its third straight College Hockey America Championship in 2015-16. Last season, RIT advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time as a Division I program and return 15 players (seven forwards, six defensemen, and two goaltenders).  
 
It is RIT's second season in the 4,300-seat Gene Polisseni Center. Season tickets and single-game tickets are available for both teams at www.rithockey.com.
