ROCHESTER, NY -- Two school records were set, as the RIT women's track and field team finished fourth out of 60 teams at the 2015 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships at the New Balance 168th Street Arnory in New York City on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7. The Tigers were fourth overall with 31 points, while Buffalo State emerged victorious with 61 points.

Junior Becky Greiner (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) broke a school record in the 3,000-meters, placing sixth in a time of 10:20.30. She broke the old record of 10:25.91 set in 2012 by Erin LaFave.

Despite finishing 14th, the 4 x 200-meter relay team of Kelly Fredette (Gansevoort, NY/Saratoga Springs), Uchechi Nna (Framingham, MA/Framingham), Sam Orlando (Caledonia, NY/York), and Hailey Burkhart (Underhill, VT/Mt. Mansfield Union) set a new school record of 1:46.42, besting the old mark of 1:46.46, set by Samantha Mitchell, Abby Arday, Caitlin Peterson, and Jennifer Adams in 2010.

Kristine Reed (Walton, NY/Walton) was RIT's lone individual winner of the weekend, taking the title in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 3:01.94, less than a second shy of the school record. Emma Jones (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) placed sixth in the same race, finishing in a time of 3:03.30.

Amanda White (Watertown, NY/Watertown) placed second in the 800-meters in a snappy time of 2:14.57. Stephanie Milici (Rochester, NY/Greece Odyssey) placed sixth, on Friday, in the 5,000-meters in a time of 18:11.14, just shy of a school mark and Alicia Sutphin (Apalachin, NY/Vestal) was 16th in the mile, finishing in a time of 5:13.92.

The distance Medley relay team of Jones, Meg Oliphant (Coventry, CT/Coventry), Kaylin Beiter (Lima, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) and Sutphin placed seventh in a time of 12:19.39, just two seconds shy of a school mark.

RIT will await possible NCAA selections, as the national championships take place Friday and Saturday, March 13-14.
