ROCHESTER, NY -- Freshman guard AJ Horde (Oak Park, MI/University of Detroit Jesuit), of the RIT men's basketball team, was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday, for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015. It is the second straight and fourth time overall Horde has recieved the weekly honor this season.

Horde averaged 18.0 points, 1.5 assists, and 3.0 steals in a pair of road conference games last weekend. On Friday, Horde tallied 19 points, dished out three assists and had three steals in a 69-67 win at Vassar College. He added four rebounds and made 3-of-4 from the foul line. Saturday, Horde tallied 17 points and had three steals in a 73-58 loss at Bard College.

RIT, 12-11 overall and 7-7 in the Liberty League, hits the road for a Liberty League game at Hobart College on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. The Tigers wrap up the regular season on Friday, Feb. 20 when Union comes to Clark Gym for an 8 p.m. tip-off.
