ROCHESTER, NY - Top-seeded Skidmore College was the winner of the 2014 Liberty League Championship, defeating No. 2 seeded Rensselaer 5-0 from the Goergen Tennis Center on Sunday, May 4. Skidmore cruised to two 5-0 wins through the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, taking down Bard and Hobart. Rensselaer handled RIT easily in the quarterfinal with a 5-0 win, while avenging a regular season loss to No. 15 team Vassar in the semifinals with a 5-2 win.

During the regular season Rensselaer defeated Skidmore 5-4. Despite dropping two of the three doubles match-ups during that meeting, the Engineers took four of the six singles. The winner of the Conference Championship match receives an automatic berth into the 2014 NCAA Championships. Please Note - Sunday's Championship match will be played indoors at Rochester's Goergen Athletic Center.

Third-seed Vassar was the defending champion, while Skidmore has won four of the previous league titles. In total, Skidmore and Vassar have combined to win the last nine league titles. Below is the information and schedule for the weekend.

Liberty League Men's Tennis History

Liberty League Men's Tennis is comprised of eight teams, including Bard College, Hobart College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. Lawrence University, Skidmore College, Union College, and Vassar College.
