ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT wrestling team (0-2) dropped its home opener of the 2014-15 season to SUNY Cortland by a score of 29-6 on Saturday afternoon. Jake Sepor (Stafford, NY/Pavilion) and Tory Cain (Ontario, NY/Wayne) recorded wins for the Tigers.

The Red Dragons captured the 125- and 133-pound weight classes by forfeit. In the first contested bout of the dual, Sepor scored won a 12-2 major decision over Jarrod Mauge. Sepor now has a team-high 12 wins this season for RIT. After three straight Cortland wins, Cain got RIT back on the board with an 8-1 win over Gino Gioielli at 174-pounds. The win improves Cain to 9-2 on the season and 55-34 for his acreer.

RIT returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 3 when the Tigers compete at the NY/PA Duals hosted by SUNY Oswego. Competition gets underway at 1 p.m. when the TIgers face King's College.
