ROCHESTER, NY – RIT women's soccer Head Coach Liz Masterson announced on July 24 that Katie Dry will join the program as an assistant coach for the 2013 season. Dry will serve as the goalkeeper coach.

"I am extremely excited to welcome Katie to our coaching staff," said Masterson, who led RIT to its first NCAA Tournament berth in 2012. "Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about the goalkeeper position, but her physical therapy background will add to our strength and conditioning efforts. Katie is an avid soccer fan, and her passion for the game is contagious. She has great energy and enthusiasm, and will be a huge asset to the program."

Dry enjoyed a stellar playing and coaching career with Bucknell before joining the Tigers. Dry played four seasons (2003-06) and was a three-year starter in goal for the Bison, setting two records and equaling three other team marks. She is the school's all-time leader in wins in a season (12, 2006) and career (30). In 2005, she helped lead Bucknell to the Patriot League Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. In addition, Dry was a 2006 Co-SIDA/ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-District selection.

From 2008-2010, Dry served as an assistant with the Bison, helping lead the squad to a 21-14-1 record and a pair of second place finishes in the Patriot League.

Originally a native of Greece, a suburb of Rochester, Dry was a standout with Mercy High School, graduating in 2003.

Dry earned both her bachelor's degree (2007) and master's degree (2010) in biology from Bucknell. In 2013, Dry earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Arcadia University and currently serves as an orthopedic physical therapist at Lattimore of Gates-Chili Physical Therapy in Rochester.
