ROCHESTER, NY - Freshman Jason Alexander (Austin, TX/Bowie) of the RIT men's tennis team was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday for the week ending March 31, 2013. It is the first weekly honor of his collegiate career.

Alexander defeated Nathaniel Ligon of St. John Fisher, 5-6, 6-2, 6-3 at sixth singles, as RIT rolled to a 7-2 win over the Cardinals on Thursday.

RIT returns to action on Wednesday, April 10 with a home contest vs. University of Rochester at 4 p.m.
