ROCHESTER, NY -
Senior defenseman Chris Saracino (St. Louis, MO/Green Bay Gamblers) of the RIT men's hockey team, was named to the 2012-13 Atlantic Hockey Association First Team on Tuesday, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. Saracino was also a All-AHA second team selection in 2011.

He was tied with Bentley's Steve Weinstein for the scoring lead among defensemen in league play, with 24 points on a league best eight goals and 16 assists in 27 conference games.

For his career, Saracino recorded 73 points on 20 goals and 53 assists in 128 games. Ten of his goals came on the power-play, while he had one game-winning goal. In 2011-12, Saracino was the MVP of Vermont's Catamount Cup, recording nine points in 14 games. As a sophomore in 2010-11, Saracino tallied five goals and 15 assists, while skating at a plus-28, second best in one season at RIT's Division I level. Saracino was a member of the squad that won the 2010 Atlantic Hockey Championship, NCAA East Regional, and advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four.

The Tigers advanced to the Atlantic Hockey Association Quarterfinals for the sixth straight season, finishing the year with a 15-18-5 mark.
