ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT women's hockey program announced today that season tickets for its inaugural Division I year go on sale Monday, August 6 at www.rithockey.com beginning at 10 a.m. Starting, August 29 at 9 a.m., single-game and season tickets can also be purchased at the Gordon Field House Box Office, or by calling (585) 475-4121. Season tickets will remain on sale until October 6.

Season tickets holders enjoy great benefits, including 15 percent off hockey merchandise at Barnes and Noble at RIT. Also, men's season ticket buyers can purchase a women's season ticket package for the incredibly low price of just $20.00, saving 75 percent off regular women's hockey ticket prices, which includes admission to the women's first Brick City Homecoming contest against Yale at Blue Cross Arena on October 20 at 2:30 p.m. There will also be priority status for purchasing playoff tickets at Ritter Arena and a pre-game reception later in the season.

RIT will play its first regular season home games as a Division I program against national powerhouse Mercyhurst at Ritter Arena on Sept. 28-29, then host Yale at the Blue Cross Arena on October 20 at 2:30 p.m. That contest will be a focal point of RIT's Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend, with the men also playing downtown that evening at 7:35 p.m.

Last season, the Tigers won their first NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Championship, setting a Division III record with 28 wins.  The Tigers finished the season with a 28-1-1 mark and were the No. 1 team in the nation for 18 weeks during the season.

RIT has a 54-3-3 record over the last two seasons, and announced its intention to make the leap to Division I on March 20. The Tigers will join College Hockey America and are eligible for CHA post-season play, but not NCAA post-season play. In 2014-15, RIT will be eligible for NCAA post-season play.

Monday - Tuesday, Thursday - Friday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (non-game days)
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (game days)
