ROCHESTER, NY -- Freshman attack Brendan MacDonald (Georgetown, Ontario/Trinity-Pawling) of the RIT men's lacrosse team was named the Liberty League Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 11, 2012.

MacDonald helped sixth ranked RIT to a 2-0 record last week tallying eight points on three goals and five assists. The freshman attacker dished out three assists in a 16-10 win over SUNY Brockport on Wednesday. MacDonald followed that up with five points on three goals and two assists in a 19-10 win over Keuka on Saturday. MacDonald is second on the team in scoring with 11 points on six goals and five assists. His five assists leads the team.

RIT, ranked fifth in this week's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Div. III poll, is 3-0 on the season and will face St. John Fisher College on Saturday, March 17 at 4 pm in Pittsford, NY.
