On Tuesday, February 14th, the RIT Women's Basketball Team will participate in the annual "Play 4Kay" fundraising event, for their final home game of the season against Liberty League foe Union.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at RIT's Clark Gymnasium.

The late Kay Yow, former North Carolina State University head women's basketball coach, served as the catalyst for Play 4Kay after her third recurrence of breast cancer in 2006.  Yow was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987, and passed away on January 24, 2009.  Each year in mid February, women's basketball teams across the country and at every level raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. The RIT Women's and Men's Basketball Teams will be collecting an optional door charge of $3 the day of the game. There will also be an opportunity to sign up for Three Point Madness at the door (participants will donate a specified amount for each 3-pointer made by any team).  All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.

Please come out and support your RIT Women's Basketball Team and the fight against breast cancer!
