ROCHESTER, NY - Sophomore forward #Celeste Brown (Great Falls, MT/National Sports Academy)# of the RIT women's hockey team was named the College Hockey America (CHA) Player of the Week on Monday, for the week ending Dec. 16, 2012. It is Brown's first weekly honor of the season and second of her career.

Brown recorded season-highs of two goals and three points and was plus-3 in Saturday's 5-1 win over Lindenwood at Ritter Arena. Brown assisted on Ariane Yokoyama (Van Nuys, CA/LA Selects)'s first period goal, then gave RIT a 3-1 lead in the second period with a rocket of a wrist shot. She completed the scoring with another hard wrist shot just under the crossbar on a breakaway in the third period. She also fired eight shots on goal. On Sunday, Brown had five shots on goal in a 1-1 tie against the Lady Lions. Brown now has six goals and 10 points, while playing at plus-7.

The Tigers are off until 2013, when they play two road games at Robert Morris on Jan. 4-5.
