ROCHESTER, NY - Senior forward #
Kim Schlattman (Stratford, Ontario/Cambridge Fury)# of the RIT women's hockey team, was named the College Hockey America (CHA) Player of the Week on Monday, for the week ending October 7, 2012. It is Schlattman's third weekly honor of her career.
Schlattman scored four goals and added an assist and was plus-4 in a pair of wins over Sacred Heart. On Friday, she scored the game-opening goal and added a second period tally while adding an assist in an 8-0 win over Sacred Heart. Less than 24 hours later, she scored a power-play tally and RIT's first shorthanded goal at the Division I level, as RIT rolled to a 7-2 win over the Pioneers. She leads RIT with four goals and five points in four games this season.
The Tigers are off this weekend, but return to action on Friday, October 19 against Princeton at Ritter Arena, starting at 7 p.m. The following afternoon, RIT hosts Yale at Blue Cross Arena at 2:30 p.m.
