Former RIT men's lacrosse standout Alex Crepinsek selected 10th in National Lacrosse League Draft

ROCHESTER, NY -- Former RIT men's lacrosse standout Alex Crepinsek (Oakville, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas) was selected tenth overall by the Minnesota Swarm in the 2012 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft on Monday. Crepinsek joins fellow RIT graduate Jordan MacIntosh (Oakville, ON/Holy Trinity) on the Swarm.

Crepinsek started and played in all 19 games for the Tigers in 2012. The defensive midfielder helped RIT's defense hold opponents to 7.95 goals per game overall, earning All-Liberty League second team honors. Crepinsek tallied 12 points on five goals and seven assists, and was second on the team with 66 ground balls.

He finished his career at RIT with 30 points on 13 goals and 17 assists, and 179 ground balls. He help lead the Tigers to a pair of Empire 8 titles in 2010 and 2011, and one Liberty League title in 2012. Crepinsek also helped the Tigers to two trips to the National Quarterfinals in 2010 and 2012 and a trip to the National Semifinals in 2011.

The Swarm begin the 2013 campaign on January 12, 2013 versus the Buffalo Bandits.
