LOWELL, MA – The RIT oarsmen opened up the crew fall racing season at the Textile River Regatta on Sunday, September 30 on the historic Merrimac River, where its system of locks and canals fueled the Industrial Revolution. The Tigers made their mark on the Merrimac finishing first in the Open Quad event and fourth overall in the Men's Club Eight, behind two Wesleyan boats and a boat from Union Boat Club. The Textile River Regatta is rowed over a 5,800 meter course beginning at Tyng Island and finishing along the Heritage State Park walkway, south of the Bellegarde Boathouse that houses UMass Lowell Crew.

Sean Kennelly (Mendon, VT/Rutland)# six seat, #
David Gasser (New Milford, CT/New Milford)# five seat, #
George Spragins (Brockport, NY/Brockport)# four seat, #
Chris Donnelly (Walton, NY/Walton )# three seat, #
