ROCHESTER, NY - Junior distance runner Erin LaFave (Troy, MI/Bloomfield Hills Lahser) of the RIT women's track and field team was named the Liberty League Female Track Athlete of the Week on Monday for the week ending Jan. 22, 2012.  It is her fourth Liberty League honor of the season.

LaFave won the 3,000 meter run with a strong time of 10:40.81. LaFave won a sterling dual in the final 100-meters over Louisa Lee of Wesleyan who placed second at 10:40.87.

The Tigers return to action on Friday and Saturday, as they compete at the GaReat Collegiate Showcase in Geneva, Ohio.
