ROCHESTER, NY - Freshman jumper Jamie Dorren (Irondequoit, NY/Irondequoit) of the RIT men's track and field team was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday for the week ending January 15, 2012.  It is Dorren's first  Liberty League weekly honor of his career.

Dorren won the high jump at the RIT Invitational held at the Gordon Field House on Saturday with a leap of 1.99 meters.  His jump is currently ninth best in Division III this season.  He also finished second in the triple jump, at 13.37 meters.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, January 21, when they travel to Clinton, N.Y. for the Hamilton Invitational.
