Women's lacrosse ends season with loss at Stevens in Empire 8 semis

HOBOKEN, NJ -- The RIT women's lacrosse team ended their season on Saturday, losing to top seeded Stevens 15-6 in the Empire 8 Women's Lacrosse Tournament. The Tigers finish the season with a 6-11 record.

The Tigers trailed by three at the half, but the Stevens defense stiffened in the second half allowing just one RIT goal.

Junior co-captain #Rebecca Lampson (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy) and Loren Azlein (Cleveland, OH/Gilmour Academy) each had two goals to pace the Tigers offensively. (Westwood, MA/Westwood)Tina Podrasky (Scranton, PA/Wyoming Seminary) and Ashleigh Caruso (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) each scored a goal and (Westwood, MA/Westwood)Megan Henriksen (Silver Spring, MD/Our Lady of Good Counsel) added an assist.
