OSWEGO, NY -- The RIT wrestling team went 1-1, picking up its first dual meet of the season defeating King's College, 30-18, and falling to Lycoming, 33-15, at the New York/Pennsylvania dual meet on Saturday afternoon at the Max Ziel Gymnasium.

For RIT, #Mike McInally (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen)#, #Sean Sercu (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) and freshman (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney)Nick Stewart (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) all picked two wins on the day. (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney)Mike Nguyen (Syracuse, NY/Jordan-Elbridge)#, #Brandon Thuotte (Danielson, CT/Pomfret Prep) and Tyler Brent (Gasport, NY/Royalton-Hartland)# earned one win on the day.

McInally defeated Terrell Nixon of Lycoming and Michael LaPorta of King's at 133 lbs. by pins to move to 13-0 on the year, while Sercu defeated Colton of Lycoming 5-2 and Tommy Desir of King's 10-5 at 157 lbs. Stewart had a pinfall in 5:40 against Zach Eckstrom of Lycoming and won by fall at the 0:55 mark versus Kevin Trant of King's College.

The Tigers are back in action on Friday and Saturday in Williamsport, Pa. for the prestigious Budd Whitehill Dual Tournament.
