Women's track competes at SU

SYRACUSE, NY -- The RIT Women’s Track and Field team sent three members of its squad to represent the team at the Syracuse University Invitational on Saturday. Sophomore
Jennifer Adams (Batavia, NY/Batavia) and freshmen
Anna Guthrie (Essex Junction, VT/Essex) and
Amy Loud (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) each had solid individual performances.
Anna Guthrie was the first race of the day. Guthrie ran the 3,000 meter race in a time of 11:10.95. Her time secured her the 16th place position in that race. Amy Loud was the next to race. Loud competed in the 55-meter hurdle race. She was 14th in the preliminary race with a time of 9.87 seconds. Jennifer Adams rounded out the day for the lady tigers, racing the 55-meter dash. Adams sprinted through the finish line in a time of 7.89 seconds, securing her 15th place in the preliminary round.
The women’s team will be travelling next weekend to both Cornell University and Boston University as they split the team for the weekend.
