BEREA, OH -- The RIT wrestling team placed fifth out of five teams at the 24th Annual Summa Memorial Tournament hosted by Baldwin Wallace College. The Tigers were fifth with a team score of 35.50 points.

#Ben Johnstone (West Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta)# won the consolation bracket at 174 pounds. He defeated Tom Armentano (Drexel Hill, PA/Monsignor Bonner) in his first round match 6-2. He went on to beat Tom Bosch in the semifinals with a forfeit and beat Cody Catalina in the finals 4-1.

Shin Wakabayshi made it to the semifinals in the consolation bracket at 125 pounds. He lost to Erwin Tyler of Baldwin Wallace in the semis with a pin at 36 seconds.

Egar Vizcarra won his first round match in the consolation bracket at 157 pounds, defeating Eric Slater 9-8. He lost to Alex Evanoff of Waynesburg in the semifinals with a pin at 2:12.

The Tigers return to action next weekend at the Case Western Duals in Cleveland, Ohio.
