Jared DeMichiel selected to compete at the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge

Jared DeMichiel will compete for the East squad at the 2010 NCAA Skills Challenge on April 9, 2010.

ROCHESTER, NY - RIT senior goaltender Jared DeMichiel (Avon, CT/) was selected to compete for the East team at the 2010 Frozen Four Skills Challenge on April 9 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The skills challenge will highlight the "Friday Night at the Frozen Four". The night will also include the presentation of the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, the Hockey Humanitarian Award and the announcement of the American Hockey Coaches Association All-American teams.

The top two East goaltenders were selected by fan voting.  Ben Scrivens of Cornell will join DeMichiel in net on the East squad.

The two NCAA National Semifinal games will be played on Thursday, April 8, while the National Championship is on Saturday, April 10.

Last season, Jesse Newman (Kelowna, British Columbia/Trail Smokeeaters) represented RIT at the 2009 NCAA Frozen Four in Washington, D.C. and won the Fastest Skater competition.
