ITHACA, N.Y. - The RIT men’s wrestling team competed at the 2010 New York State Wrestling Championships on Saturday at Cornell University. RIT did not have a wrestler advance in the winner’s bracket.
Dominique Graham (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis Christian) and
Ben Johnstone (West Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) were the lone RIT wrestlers to post wins in consolation action. Graham won two matches at 149 lbs., defeating Goodson Phillipe of Morrisville, 4-3, and teammate
Greg Morton (Keaau, HI/Keaau) via pin in 2:49. Johnstone defeated Steve Massey of NYU, 10-5.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, as they compete at the Thiel Tomcat Five hosted by Thiel College. Action gets underway at 1 p.m.
