BEREA, OH - The RIT wrestling team placed fourth out of six teams at the 2009 John Summa Invitational hosted by Baldwin Wallace on Saturday. The Tigers tallied 84 points and had four wrestlers place. Junior

Jason Wake (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy)# (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy) and senior
#Luke Baum (Ontario, NY/Wayne)# (Ontario, NY/Wayne) all garnered titles at their respective weight classes. Baum was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler.
Baum defeated Josh Bellinger of SUNY Brockport, 5-4 in the championship match at 141 lbs. He opened the day by pinning Dean Baker of Waynesburg in 1:59 and defeated Patrick McCabe of Waynesburg in the semifinals, 7-3. Baum improved to 33-7 this season.
McInally won the title at 125 lbs., defeating Shawn Hainey of SUNY Brockport via major decision, 12-2. He remains undefeated and ranked third in Division III. He opened the day by defeated Josh Klimko of Waynesburg, 13-1 and pinned Justin Delamothe of Morrisville in 3:15. McInally is 27-0 this season.
Wake upended Donald Williams of Brockport, 3-1 in the championship bout at 165 lbs. He opened the day with pin in 4:30 over Matt Zimmerman of Waynesburg. He then pinned Joe Incorvaia of Brockport in 4:44. Wake is now 26-8 this season.
Senior
#Nick Ryan (Fairport, NY/Fairport)# (Fairport, NY/Fairport) was fourth overall at 174 lbs.
The Tigers return to action next weekend, as they compete at the Case Western Quad Meet.
