ROCHESTER, NY --
The RIT men's basketball team rallied for a 90-88 overtime win versus Worcester State in the consolation game of the 24th Annual Harold J. Brodie Tournament. Anthony Terry (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) scored 25 points for the Tigers, including the game-tying bucket with time running out in regulation.

RIT featured five players scoring in double figures led by Terry's 25. Scott Young (Almond, NY/Hornell) and Adam Sweet (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) each had 15 points, while Marcus Lowe (Anchorage, AK/Service) added 13 points. Brendan Harder (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) scored 11 points and had nine rebounds for RIT who improved to 3-5 on the season.

RIT led 50-36 at the half thanks in large part to hot shooting from three-point land. The Tigers shot 52.4% from downtown in the first half and 47.1% overall from the floor. Scott Young (Almond, NY/Hornell) and Adam Sweet (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) each had three three-pointers to pace RIT. Young finished with 12 first-half points while Anthony Terry (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) scored 11 off the bench.

The Tigers built a 14 point lead in the second half, but just as Saturday, failed to hold on as Worcester State took a five point lead late.

Anthony Terry (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) tied the score with time running out in regulation. He got the offensive rebound off a Brendan Harder (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) missed free throw and laid the ball in tying the score at 77-77.

Young gave the Tigers an 84-83 lead with his three-pointer late in the overtime session. Brendan Harder (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) converted an old fashioned three-pointer to give the Tigers an 87-83 lead.

Marcus Lowe (Anchorage, AK/Service) made three free throws down the stretch in the overtime to give RIT a 90-88 lead. Worcester's Maurice Horton had a chance to tie the game when he was fouled at the buzzer. He missed the first free throw giving RIT the win.

RIT is off until January fifth when they travel to Empire 8 rival Nazareth College. Game-time in Pittsford, New York is at 8 pm.
