ROCHESTER, NY -- RIT senior captain, Kristen Denninger (Rochester, NY/Nazareth Academy) has been named the Empire 8 Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for the week ending October 18, 2009.

Denninger led RIT to its third consecutive victory with two goals in a 3-0 Tigers’ victory over Alfred on Thursday. She scored once in each half for her first multi-goal performance since 2006. She moves into fourth place on the team in scoring with six points on three goals.

RIT, which is 6-4-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the Empire 8, look to keep their Empire 8 tournament hopes alive when they face Nazareth College on Wednesday, October 21 at 3:30 pm in Pittsford, New York.
