ITHACA, NY - The RIT wrestling squad dropped its second dual match of the 2008-09 season, 32-9 to #8 Ithaca on Thursday evening at the Ben Light Gymnasium. Senior
#Luke Baum (Ontario, NY/Wayne)# (Ontario, NY/Wayne) along with juniors
#Mike McInally (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen)# (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) and #Jason Wake (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy)# (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy) picked wins for RIT.
Wake got RIT on the board in the third match of the evening, as he defeated John Dale, 6-0 at 165 lbs. Wake improved to 12-4 with the win.
McInally, ranked fourth in all of Division III at 125 lbs., moved to a perfect 10-0 this season, as he defeated Seth Ecker, 5-1.
Baum, ranked eighth in Division III at 141 lbs., defeated John Paxos with a takedown in overtime, 5-3 to move to 13-4 in 2008-09.
RIT is back in action on Saturday, January 3, 2009, as they host the New York/Pennsylvania dual meets at the Gordon Field House, starting at 12 p.m.
