ROCHESTER, NY -- Freshman forward #Sharon Dennis (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool)# (Liverpool, NY) has been named the Empire 8 Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 30, 2008.

Dennis paced RIT with 18 points, 15 rebounds, seven blocked shots, and four steals in the Tigers' 81-49 rout of Hilbert.

She leads the team in scoring, averaging 12.8 points per game and rebounding, averaging 12.3 caroms per game.

The Tiers are 2-2 on the season and will host cross-town rival and perennial power-house University of Rochester on Wednesday, December 3 at 7 pm in Clark Gymnasium.
