ROCHESTER, NY – RIT senior goalkeeper
Alan Smith (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) made 11 saves, as the Tiger men's soccer team (5-7-1, 2-1-1 Empire 8) played #10 Stevens (12-1-2, 3-0-1 Empire 8) to a scoreless draw in Empire 8 action on a cool Saturday afternoon at RIT Field.
Smith made a handful of good saves throughout to keep Stevens off the board. His best save came late in the first overtime, when he robbed Terrence Johnson in front of the Tiger goal.
Johnson rang a shot from 10-yards out off the right post with 30 seconds remaining in the second overtime.
The Ducks dominated the second half and both overtimes, ending the game with a 23-6 shot advantage. The Ducks held RIT to just one shot after the first half. RIT did not register a shot on goal for the game, while Stevens had 11.
Stevens had its winning streak snapped at five games, but extended its unbeaten streak to nine (7-0-2).
Both teams had a few good chances in a physical first half, but could not convert. Stevens out-shot RIT, 6-5 over the opening 45 minutes of play.

Bobby Bullard (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen)# (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) received a pass in the box and headed an attempt just over the Stevens goal.
Todd Sheridan had a great chance for Stevens late in the half, as he took a pass right in front of the Tiger net and redirected a shot that Smith made a great save on to keep the game scoreless.
RIT is now 0-2-1 against ranked teams this season.
RIT is right back in action on Sunday, as they host Utica in a big Empire 8 contest starting at 12 p.m.
