ROCHESTER, NY -- Matt Klosner (Lowville, NY/Lowville Academy) (Lowville, NY/Lowville), goalie for the RIT men's soccer team, has been named the Empire 8 Goalie of the Week.
Klosner posted a 2-1 record and an .895 save percentage, yielding two goals in three games. He made four saves to record the shutout in a 1-0 win over Potsdam, and made nine saves in a 2-1 overtime win over Allegheny in the Doug May Memorial Classic. In three games he's allowed two goals, made 17 saves and has a 0.67 goals against average.
RIT is 2-1-0 so far this season and will face a tough Hobart squad on Thursday, September 8 at 4 p.m. on RIT Field.
