PITTSBURGH, PA -
The RIT Women's Volleyball team finished 3-1 for the third straight weekend, after defeating Allegheny College 30-18, 27-20, 31-29, 30-26 on Saturday afternoon at the Carnegie Mellon Crossover Tournament.

Senior outside hitter Bonnie Harriman (Danbury, CT/Danbury) (Danbury, CT/Danbury) slammed 22 kills to go along with four blocks and four service aces.  Laurie Underhill (East Aurora, NY/Mt. Mercy) (East Aurora, NY/Mt. Mercy) chipped in with 12 kills.  Christina Anabel (Apalachin, NY/Vestal) (Apalachin, NY/Vestal) led the Tigers with 21 digs, and added nine kills.  Laura Grell (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) had 16 digs.

Setter Katie Werner (Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) (Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) dished out 55 assists and had 14 digs.  Werner had at least 50 assists in three out of four matches this weekend. 

RIT (15-3) opens its Empire 8 season on Tuesday with a home match at 7 p.m. versus Alfred University.
