ROCHESTER, NY -- It was another exciting week in RIT Athletics. Here is a look back at all the action, and a brief look ahead at what's happening this weekend in Tigers Athletics. For all the latest news and schedule information check out the RIT Athletics website at www.ritathletics.com.

Women's Hockey (7-10-4, 3-4-0 CHA):
Last Time Out: RIT won a pair of non-conference road games at Brown University, by scores of 2-1 on Friday, and 2-0 Saturday. Ellie Larson and Mallory Rushton each scored in Friday's win, while Brittney Gout handed out a pair of assists. Terra Lanteigne got the win in net, stopping 27-of-28 shots she faced. Jordan Marchese and Kathryn Kennedy each scored in Saturday's win. Kendall Cornine handed out a pair of assists, while Lanteigne stopped all 30 shots she faced to earn the win.

This Week: The Tigers host CHA rival Syracuse University Friday at the Gene Polisseni Center. It is the second of four regular season meetings in 2018-19. RIT tallied four third period goals to erase a two-goal deficit on November 16 to beat the Orange 6-4. Logan Land tallied two goals, while Kendall Cornine, Taylor Baker and Claudia Black each tallied a goal and an assist.

Men's Hockey (8-8-2, 6-6-2 AHA):
Last Time Out: RIT continued its unbeaten run with a win and a tie versus Atlantic Hockey foe Niagara University. Will Calverley tied the game with 1:15 remaining in regulation in Friday's 4-4 draw at Niagara. Abbott Girduckis tallied a goal and two assists, while Alden Dupuis scored two goals. Logan Drackett earned the tie in net, making 22 saves. Adam Brubacher scored with 1.4 seconds remaining in regulation in Saturday's 2-1 win at the Gene Polisseni Center. Girduckis tallied a goal and an assist Saturday, while Drackett got the win in net, making 28 stops.

Honors and Recognition:

This Week: RIT hits the road for a pair of Atlantic Hockey contests this weekend at American International College. Friday's game is a 2:05 start, while Saturday's opening face-off is at 1:05 p.m. RIT is 2-0-0 versus the Yellowjackets in 2018-19, winning 2-1 and 5-2 back on Nov. 9-10. RIT is 32-6-3 all time versus AIC.

Women's Swimming and Diving (6-0):
Next Up: RIT returns to action on Saturday, when the Tigers host Hamilton College at 1 p.m. at the Judson Pool. The Tigers will honor its seven members of the Class of 2019.


Men's Swimming and Diving (5-1):
Next Up: RIT returns to action on Saturday, when the Tigers host Hamilton College at 1 p.m. at the Judson Pool. The Tigers will honor its eight members of the Senior Class.
 
Wrestling (3-1):
Last Week: RIT went 2-0 at the 2019 NY/PA Duals hosted by SUNY Oswego. The Tigers shut out King's College 54-0, and beat SUNY Oswego 38-10. Seven different Tigers posted 2-0 records Saturday. Zach Stedeford (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny), Kaidon Winters (Athens, PA/Athens Area), Joe Cutugno (Ventnor, NJ/Atlantic City) and Connor Calkins (Almond, NY/Alfred-Almond) earned pin fall victories in the win over Oswego State. Dempsey King (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford), this week's ECWC Co-Wrestler of the Week, went 2-0 with a win by fall and a 4-0 decision, is 15-3 on the season.

Next Up: RIT competes at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Duals this weekend. The Tigers will face Roger Williams, Trinity College and WPI on Saturday.

Women's Basketball (8-3, 3-2 Liberty League):
Last Week: RIT went 1-1 in a pair of Liberty League road games. The Tigers won 72-68 at William Smith on Friday, but fell 66-56 at Rensselaer Saturday. Friday, Cori Okada (Fullerton, CA/Troy) led the Tigers with 17 points, while Alyssa Juergens (Rochester, NY/Hilton) tallied 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the win at William Smith. Okada tallied 16 points and added six assists in Saturday's loss at Rensselaer. Tara Lynch (Green Township, NJ/Newton) chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds.

RIT lost 77-52 Tuesday evening at home versus Ithaca. The Tigers were outscored 46-25 in the second half. Sabrina Wolfe (Troy, NY/Troy) led the Tigers with 18 points and five rebounds.

Men's Basketball (3-9, 0-5 Liberty League):
Last Week: RIT began 2019 with a 77-76 win at D'Youville College January 2. Marcell Davis (Buffalo, NY/St. Joseph's Institute) converted an old-fashioned 3-point play with four seconds remaining in regulation to seal the win. Jaymee Rosser (Newark, NY/Newark) led the Tigers with 24 points versus D'Youville, while Davis finished with 15 points.

The Tigers dropped a pair of Liberty League road games last weekend, losing at Hobart Friday and at Rensselaer Saturday. Will Atkinson (Orchard Park, NY/Canisius) tallied 14 points, including 11 in the second half in Friday's loss at Hobart. Curtis Nesbit (Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge) scored a career-high 14 points in Saturday's loss at Rensselaer. RIT lost 78-61 at home to Ithaca Tuesday evening.
