GENEVA, NY - The Tiger Oarswomen picked-up steam in their second race of the fall season at the Hobart William Smith Canal Challenge on Saturday, October 8. The varsity eight and second eight both earned solid, third-place finishes in their events.

The varsity boat finished in a time of 18:07, five seconds off of second place finisher, Marietta College. William Smith finished first, followed by Marietta, RIT, Ithaca A, Ithaca B, and Geneseo.

Jim Bodenstedt was excited about the women's performance.
“We raced hard today against a top, Liberty League contender, William Smith, and our other New York State competitors," said Bodenstedt. Right now, RIT Women's Crew is the locomotive heard in the distance. Every race weekend we strive to be heard and get those railroad ties rumbling. Ears are to the rails. Our goal is to build up speed. We're on track!”
This week the Tiger Oarswomen will be preparing for our local Head of the Genesee Regatta, Saturday, October, 15.
