LOWELL, MA - The RIT men's crew opened their fall season on Sunday, October 2 at the Textile River Regatta. Two men's varsity fours pounced on the majority of the competition placing seventh and 13th respectively in a field of fifty boats.

“I had a good feeling going into this race that both our boats would be competitive," said Head Coach #
Jim Bodenstedt#. "Normally we race in the eight and do a little training and seat racing in the fours. But last week we decided to break down the eight into two fours to create some competitive fun within the squad. We had a great weekend of racing and now I think we're ready to get back into the eight and focus on technical speed.
This week the Tiger Oarsmen will be preparing for the Hobart William Smith Invitational on Saturday, October 8.
