Hardbarger enjoyed a tremendous day on Saturday for the Tigers at the NYSCTC Championships held at the University of Rochester, leading the Tigers to a third-place finish. He broke a 25-year old record in the 1,500-meters, demolishing the field by over six seconds and provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Championships in a time of 3:50.29. He then placed third in the 800-meters in 1:54.51. Hardbarger spearheaded RIT's second record-setting performance of the afternoon, as he was part of the 4 x 800-meter relay team that broke a school record, placing second in a time of 7:45.92. The squad also consisted of Andy Varble, Marc O'Donnell and Joe Carter.

Gagnier was second in the 1,500-meter run, breaking her own school record, set first in 2007 and then three weeks ago, with a time of 4:42.84 at the NYSCTC Championships held at the University of Rochester. Gagnier, Alexandra Bush, Dana Palmer and Jouhan Allende placed fourth in the 4 x 800-meter relay in a school record time of 9:35.57, breaking the previous record by over seconds, in 2005.

George, the catalyst at the top of the Tiger lineup, helped lead RIT to a 4-1 week. He batted .500 (10-for-20) in five games with nine runs scored and was a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen base opportunities. He started the week by scoring three runs and stealing three bases in a win over Medaille. On Saturday, George scored twice and stole two bases in a game one win over Stevens. He followed that up the next day by going 4-for-4 with three runs scored and a stolen bases in a game two win over the Ducks. George now has 19 stolen bases on the year, one off his season record of 20, set last season. He has 40 career stolen bases, third all-time at RIT and three away from the top spot. George also has 36 run scored in 28 games this season, just six away from sole possession of the RIT all-time single season mark.

Hennigan, who was named an All-Empire 8 honorable mention selection on Thursday, scored six goals in two games last week. Overall, she led the team with 43 goals and 47 points this season. Hennigan became just the third player in the history of the women's lacrosse program to score 40 goals in one season, as her 43 tallies are the second most in one season at RIT. She has 75 goals in just two seasons, sixth most all-time at RIT.

Conlon led RIT to a 2-0 week and a berth in the Empire 8 Tournament. He posted two wins over Utica and Nazareth. He made six saves and allowed one goal in 38+ minutes of action on Wednesday versus Utica. He backed that up with his best performance of the season versus arch-rival Nazareth, stopping 14 shots and allowing just seven goals. He had a.714 save percentage and a 4.89 goals against average on the week for the Tigers. He is 8-6 with a 7.55 goals against average and a .541 save percentage

Morey won the shot put, hammer throw and discus, earning All-Empire 8 first team honors in both events at the 2008 Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Ithaca on Saturday. She annexed the shot put with a throw of 10.45 meters and took the hammer throw with a hurl of 39.74 meters. Morey finished with a throw of 33.65 meters in the discus, barely edging out teammate Lindsey Clark who threw 33.35 meters.

Guzman won both of his singles matches, as the Tigers went 2-1 on the week. He defeated Matt Aquino of St. John Fisher at first singles on Tuesday, 6-1, 6-2. Guzman then beat Connor Houghton of Alfred, 7-6 (7-4), 5-7, 6-2 at first singles in a 5-4 win over Alfred on Saturday. Guzman also teammed with Han Chong to score a first doubles win over Oswego on Friday.

McPherson hit .600 (9-for-15) with nine runs scored and five RBI and reached base twice by walk and hit by pitch in a 3-3 week for the Tigers. On Sunday, she set a Tiger single-game record with five runs scored in a 22-1 win over Skidmore in game two. She was 3-for-3 with 3 RBI as well. She scored twice in game one. McPherson was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI in a doubleheader split against Buffalo State on Wednesday. McPherson leads RIT with a .370 batting average, 27 hits and 17 runs scored this season.

Culotta hit .625 on the week with five hits in eight at-bats, to go along with three walks, as the Tigers went 3-1 on the week. On Friday, Culotta went 4-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored in a 19-6 win over Hilbert. On Sunday. Culotta went 1-for-3 with a first inning double and run scored in a 3-0 win over Brockport in game one. He drove in RIT's lone run in game two with a sacrifice fly. He had an on-base percentage of .667 and slugging percentage of 1.125. For the year, Culotta is hitting .400 with a homerun, six RBIs and 11 walks.

On Sunday, Richards drove in a pair of runs against Elmira.

Rago scored his fourth goal of the game, 33 seconds into overtime lifting the RIT men's lacrosse team to a dramatic, come from behind 11-10 win over previously undefeated Ithaca ranked third in the nation on Saturday. RIT snapped Ithaca's 25-game winning streak in Empire 8 regular season play dating back to 2004. He added four goals and an assist, all in the first half, of a 19-3 win over Elmira on Wednesday. Rago has 16 goals and three assists for 19 points this season.

Quinn Donahoe earned his fifth and sixth All-American honors in his fourth NCAA appearance, finishing seventh overall in the 1-meter with a score of 425.65. On Saturday, he placed tenth to garner All-American honorable mention honors with a score of 452.82. He earned All-American honors in the 1-meter in 2006 and 2007 and 3-meter in 2005 and 2007. His highest national finish was fifth in the 1-meter event in 2007. Donahoe was named the Empire 8 and UNYSCSA Diver of the Meet for the fourth straight time. Donahoe holds all RIT diving records.

Matt Joseph earned dual All-American honors at the 2008 NCAA Championships this weekend. He finished fifth in the 1-meter championship on Thursday with a score of 450 points. On Saturday, he closed out his collegiate career with a fourth place finish in the 3-meter diving with a score of 479.05 points. It is his second and third All-American honors after earning honorable mention accolades last year after finishing 14th in the 3-meter event. This season, Joseph won the state title in the 3-meter diving, besting Donahoe, 490.35 to 475.20. Joseph was second to Donahoe in the 1-meter.

He is tied for the team-lead in scoring with 13 points on nine goals and four assists.

Evans, the reigning Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the Year, moved her record to 2-1, stopping 30-of-46 shots in a 1-1 week for the Tigers. She made 20 saves in keeping the Tigers in the game, despite losing to Geneseo 13-8 on Tuesday. On Thursday, she stopped 10 shots, exiting the game with an 11-3 lead en route to an 11-6 win. She recorded a save-percentage of .652 during the week. She is 2-1 this season with an 8.19 goals against average and .613 save percentage.

Smith was the hero of RIT's two-game sweep of Holy Cross, scoring back-to-back hat-tricks on Friday and Saturday. The two hat-tricks were RIT's first as a Division I program. On Friday, Smith scored RIT's first goal of the contest, then two third period goals, including the game-tying goal with 3:59 left in the third period, as RIT won, 5-4 in overtime. On Saturday, Smith scored a power-play goal in the first and second period, then tipped in a shot by Brent Patry, 4:17 into overtime to lift RIT to the 5-4 win. With the six weekend goals, Smith now has 27 on the year and is tied for second in the nation. Smith's 17 power-play goals lead the country.

Jeff Kaemmerlen won two events and broke two school records at the New York State Swimming Championships last weekend. Kaemmerlen broke a 24-year old record in the 100-yard backstroke on Friday. He placed fourth in a time of 53.17 seconds, breaking the mark set by former All-American Barry Zacharias in 1984. Kaemmerlen took first place overall in the 50-yard freestyle, with a very fast time of 21.24 seconds on Thursday. He just missed an NCAA "B" cut qualifying time by seven-hundredths of a second. Kaemmerlen continued his strong meet with a win in the 100-freestyle on Saturday in a time of 46.68 seconds. The 400-yard medley relay team of Kaemmerlen, Steve Berus , Adam Luptak and Steve Rois completed the event in 3:35.04, breaking the school record of 3:35.91 set in 1991.

LaKeisha Perez broke her own record in the 55-meter hurdles. at the NYSCTC meet on Friday and Saturday at St. Lawrence. Perez broke her own school record in a preliminary for the 55-meter hurdles. She won the 55-meter hurdles preliminary event in a time of 8.43, a provisional qualifying for the NCAA's and school record by one-hundredth of a second. On Saturday, Perez came back to win the final on Saturday in 8.48 seconds. Perez placed third in the preliminaries for the 200-meters on Friday in a time of 26.17. That was just off her own school mark. She placed eighth in the final.

Curtze broke three individual school records, including two 25-year old records to go along with two record-breaking relay team performances. On Thursday, she placed third in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in a time of :24.58. Her time of :24.58 broke a record that had stood since 1983 when Debbie Dourlain set it at the NCAA Championships. On Friday, she placed second in the 200-yard freestyle in a school record time of 1:56.64. She rounded out a fine performance in the championships with a second place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 53.67. That time also broke a 25-year old school record.

McInally coasted to his second consecutive NCAA Tournament berth after winning Empire Conference Wrestling title at 125 lbs., for the second straight time. He opened the tournament as the #2 seed, defeating Adeel Arshad of SUNY Oswego by pinfall in 46 seconds. McInally then upended the #3 seed, Walker Noel Faison of Lycoming in a major decision score of 14-2. In the championship match, McInally upended #4 Jon Gregory of Ithaca, 8-5. McInally has now won 11 straight matches and is 32-3 this season. He will compete at the 2008 NCAA Championships on March 7-8 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Hardbarger broke a 23-year old record in the 3,000-meter run, as the RIT men's indoor track and field team had a bevy of excellent showings at the Kane Invitational hosted by Division I Cornell University on Saturday. Hardbarger was RIT's lone winner on the day, as he led from start to finish in the 3,000 meter run, winning by 12 seconds. His time of 8:31.39 erased a school record set by RIT Hall of Famer and All-American Paul Ruston, who set the mark in 1985.

On Tuesday, Dobeck grabbed a career-best 23 rebounds, two short of the school record in a 65-57 win over Fisher. On Friday, she scored 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field to go along with seven boards, six assists and five steals in an 85-69 win over Hartwick.

Ringwald scored a goal and added five assists for six points as the Tigers split a weekend series with Canisius. Ringwald scored his second goal of the season and had an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win. On Sunday, Ringwald assisted on all four goals in a 5-4 loss. The four assists are a career-high. He is the first Tiger to have four points in a game this season.
