ROCHESTER, NY – Four members of the RIT women's track and field squad earned All-Atlantic Region honors, as the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honorees for the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season on March 6.

Seniors Kendra Bush (Palmyra, NY/Newark), Jess Calzolari (Longmont, CO/Mead), Emma Jones (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta), and sophomore Becca Schwan (LeRoy, NY/LeRoy) garnered 2016-17 All-Region honors for the indoor season.
To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final Track & Field Results Reporting System data or be part of a top-3 relay team.

Bush had the fourth best throw in the Atlantic Region of 12.73 meters to win the shot put at the NYSCTC Championship on Feb. 24. Bush was also the Liberty League Champion in that event. She was a three-time Liberty League Field Athlete of the Week during the indoor season.

This season, Calzolari broke RIT indoor records in the high jump (1.61 meters) and triple jump (11.42 meters). She was also the 2017 Liberty League Field Performer of the Championship meet, leading the Tigers to their first league title. Calzolari has the 16th best score in the pentathlon in Division III this season, having recorded 3,234 points at the NYSCTC Championships on Feb. 24. Her pentathlon score was third best in the Atlantic Region.

On March 4, Jones became RIT's first women's runner to crack five minutes in the mile, placing second overall at the Tufts Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday in a school record time of 4:59.95. She is seeded 13th in the mile run. Last month, she won the 3,000-meter run and was second in the mile at the Liberty League Indoor Championship. Jones has the fourth fastest time in the mile among all Atlantic Region competitors.

Schwan recorded a career-best time of 2:16.12 in the 800-meters at the NYSCTC Championships on Feb. 25, which ranked her fifth among all Atlantic Region performers. Schwan won the 800-meters and was part of the victorious distance medley relay team at the Liberty League Championship on Feb. 11. She was also part of the 4 x 400-meter relay team that earned runner-up honors at the league championship. On March 4, Schwan and the 4 x 400-neter relay team broke a school record in the event, finishing with a time of 4:03.68.

Calozlari and Jones will represent RIT at the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship
