ROCHESTER, NY – Freshman Daniel Giuliano (Ledgewood, NJ/Roxbury) of the RIT men's track and field team, was named the 2016-17 Liberty League Indoor Track and Field Rookie of the Year on Monday, March 20.
 
Giuliano enjoyed a strong indoor season for the Tigers, as he won the the long jump (6.93 meters) and was part of the victorious 4 x 200-meter relay team (1:31.38) at the Liberty League Indoor Championship at the Gordon Field House on Feb. 11. In addition, Giuliano finished third in the 60-meter hurdles at the league championship. He recorded top times of 7.32 seconds in the 60-meter dash, 8.59 in the 60-meter hurdles, and 23.53 in the 200-meters. In addition, Giuliano won the long jump at the RIT Tiger Invitational in January.
 
Giuliano and the Tigers begin the 2017 Outdoor Track and Field Season on Saturday, April 1 at the SUNY Geneseo Invitational.
