CANTON, NY -- The RIT men's tennis team won a pair of titles at the 2011 St. Lawrence Fall Classic. Adam Wolf (South Euclid, OH/Brush) won the "C" Flight singles title and the team of Wolf and Alex Russin (Rochester, NY/Brighton) won the "B" Flight Doubles title. It's the best result for the Tigers at the Fall Classic.

In the "A" singles flight Tennyson Saucedo (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) defeated Jeremy Mancuso of Nazareth in the quarterfinal round match 6-4, 6-3. He will face Ryan McCormick in the semifinals tomorrow.

In "B" flight singles action, Clayton Tontarski (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) defeated Tom Wood of Nazareth 6-2, 6-2 in the first round. He was defeated by Coby Berman in the quarterfinals 6-3, 6-2.

In "C" Flight action, the Tigers will have three in the semifinals tomorrow. Marc Lachance (Fairport, NY/Fairport) won his first round match versus Paul Asplin 6-3, 6-2. He went on to beat Amin of Rochester 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals.

Ken Chou (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott ) defeated Colin Jacob of Hamilton 6-1, 6-0 in the first round and advanced to the semifinals with a straight set win over Jesse Gaboury of St. Lawrence 6-3, 6-3.

Lachance defeated Chou in the first semifinal on Sunday 6-1, 7-6 (5).

Adam Wolf (South Euclid, OH/Brush) beat Jay Barrett of St. Lawrence 6-2, 6-0 in his first round match. He went on to beat Phil Kellogg of St. Lawrence 6-3, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.

Wolf defeated Mullin of St. Lawrence in the second semifinal on Sunday 4-6, 6-2 10-5.

Wolf went on to beat Lachance in the finals of the "C" Flight 6-0, 6-1. The Tigers went one/two in the "C" Flight and had three of the four players in the semifinals.

In doubles action, the team of Neville Bilimoria (Mumbai/Schiller International) and Saucedo advanced to the semifinals of the "A" Flight with an 8-4 win over Allen and Magill of St. Lawrence.

They were defeated by Libin and Petit from Hamilton 8-4 in the semifinals.

In the "B" Flight the team of Max Bogue (Colchester, VT/Colchester) and Jake Stocker (Cassville, NY/Sauquoit Valley) defeated Amin and Kellogg of Rochester 8-4. They will face Alex Russin (Rochester, NY/Brighton) Adam Wolf (South Euclid, OH/Brush) who defeated Barrett and Gaboury of St. Lawrence 8-4.

Russin and Wolf defeated Bogue and Stocker 9-7 in the semifinals. The duo went on to beat the team of Mullin and Timpone from St. Lawrence 8-6 to take home the title.

The Tigers had two of the four teams in the semifinals in the "B" Flight Doubles draw.

RIT will host Roberts Wesleyan College on Friday, September 23 at 4 pm.
