ROCHESTER, NY –
Senior forward Dan Holowaty (Strongsville, OH/St. Ignatius) earned 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America East Region Second Team honors on Friday.  He helped lead the Tigers to an 11-7-2 record and a berth in the Liberty League Championship game in the team's first season in the conference.

Holowaty, in his final season with the Tigers, led the team with eight goals and 20 points.  He scored his first career hat trick in a 4-0 win over SUNY Morrisville and scored in both postseason contests.  He was named the RIT Male Athlete of the Week twice and was an All-Liberty League first team selection.

He finished tied for seventh in the conference in points with 20, and was eighth in the league averaging 1.00 points per game. His eight goals were good for fifth in the Liberty League. Holowaty finished his stellar career tied for eleventh all-time in points at RIT with 61 and eleventh in career goals with 24. In addition, his 10 game-winning goals are sixth best in RIT's storied history.
