The RIT women's volleyball team enjoyed a solid 2011 season, finishing with 17 wins, and, in their first season in the Liberty League, winning four conferences matches, despite playing one of the toughest schedules in the region.

The Tigers got off to a slow start but seemed to right the ship in late September winning nine of their next 13 contests including three out of four at both the Nazareth Tournament and the second Liberty League Crossover.  RIT ended its season by winning two of four at the New York State Regional Challenge.

Three Tigers earned All-Liberty League honors, led by junior Rebecca Moore (San Diego, CA/Rancho Bernardo) who was a second team selection.  Fellow juniors Christina Worth (Valencia, CA/Valencia) and Cat Sullivan (Lehman, PA/Lake-Lehman) garnered Honorable Mention accolades.

Moore was stellar for the Tigers, playing in 138 of 145 total sets.  She led the team with 463 kills, averaging 3.36 kills per set.  She was named to the RIT Volleyball Invitational All-Tournament team.  Moore was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week following her performance at the Nazareth Golden Flyer Tournament, and is tied for 10th all-time at RIT with 1147 career kills.

Worth battled injuries throughout the season and was able to compete in 37 of 39 matches.  She led the team with 1145 assists and 62 service aces.  She was named to the North Country Classic All-Tournament Team after averaging 29.5 assists per match and earned RIT Female Athlete of the Week honors the same week.  Worth was also named to the All-Tournament Team at the Purple and Gold Invitational held at Nazareth.  She currently is ninth in school history with 191 career assisted blocks and fifth with 3,390 career assists.

Sullivan played in 141 sets, more than any other Tiger.  She finished the season with 182 kills, 27 aces and 84 assisted blocks.  She closed out the year in impressive fashion, with four straight 10-kill games in the final two weekends.  Sullivan was also a CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-Region selection.

Senior Lauren Kraft (Lockport, NY/Holy Angels Academy) was strong all season long, appearing in 36 matches.  She finished her career at RIT with 477 digs and 51 service aces.   Sophomore Kyra Wilson-Houck (Painted Post, NY/Corning West) was a key contributor for the Tigers, with 259 kills 109 digs.  Katie Cooper (New Canaan, CT/New Canaan) added 187 kills while Suzanne Jokajtys (Boonville, NY/Adirondack) had 191.

Audrey DiPoala (Victor, NY/Victor) was one of two Tigers to appear in all 39 matches this season, recording 281 digs and 31 aces.  The freshman duo of Bethany Davis (Blasdell, NY/Frontier) and Amanda White (Watertown, NY/Watertown) played well in their first collegiate season, with Davis leading the team with 545 digs, and will be crucial to the team's success next year.
