ROCHESTER, NY -- For the second straight week and third time this season, junior cross country runner #Erin LaFave (Troy, MI/Bloomfield Hills Lahser)# was named Liberty League Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

LaFave was RIT's top finisher for the fourth straight race, placing sixth overall out of 322 runners, completing the slick, muddy 6,000-meter course in 23:18 as the Tigers recorded an impressive third place finish out of 39 teams at the prestigious 2011 Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh University on Friday afternoon.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 when they comete at the Yellowjacket Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester. The meet gets underway at 11 am at Genesee Valley Park.
