RIT women's lacrosse honored by IWLCA for academic excellence
ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's lacrosse team was honored on Friday by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for the team's academic excellence. The Tigers were one of 61 Division III institutions who maintained a 3.0 or higher team GPA. RIT just missed a out on a merit squad, which was the three highest team GPA's, posting a team GPA of 3.23.

RIT finished the 2010 season with an 11-5 overall record and advanced to the Empire 8 Tournament for the second straight season. The Tigers set a team record with 234 goals scored and set several other team marks along the way.
