PITTSFORD, NY -- The RIT men's tennis team (7-6, 5-3 Empire 8) defeated St. John Fisher College 8-1 in Empire 8 play this afternoon.
The Tigers swept all but one singles match.
John Traver (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa),
Neville Bilimoria (Mumbai/Schiller International),
Clayton Tontarski (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta),
Adam Wolf (South Euclid, Ohio/Brush), and
Josh Goldstein (Miami, FL/Palmer Trinity) all won their singles matches in straight sets.
RIT began the match with a sweep of all three doubles matches. Bilimoria and Tontarski were 8-2 winners at first doubles.
John Albers (Grands Rapids, MI/Forest Hills) and
Larry Hall (Fairport, NY/Fairport) were winners at second doubles and Goldstein and Wolf were 8-5 winners at third doubles.
The Tigers are off until Saturday, May 8 when RIT competes at the Empire 8 Tournament.
